Title: GameTalk

Page Changes Made

We matched our conceptual design quite closely with the exception of a few changes:

Instead of a whole page dedicated to where to buy games, we decided to make a short blog post/news page to inform our readers what to do. We thought this was much simpler and efficient.

We also took out our Game of the Month page because we realized that we had a lot of game reviews already present, and it would be redundant to do a game of the month page as well. Instead we had a few popular game reviews for each set of consoles, allowing the user to see the different games available on te market according to their own preferences. In our news section we also have blog posts that highlight the latest releases of popular games to inform the readers.

We added an “About the Authors” page which gives a short bio of the writers/creators of the site and what each of us did regarding the website. We decided to add this page because we felt like it was a requirement for a site like this. This will allow the readers to know who the writers are.

All the other pages have been followed through with our conceptual design.

Problems Encountered

One of the problems we ran into, is that our website hosting did not allow us to edit CSS. We compensated by implementing more HTML required input on some of our pages, and greatly editing the pages. Another problem that we encountered was that the web host webster constantly froze and did not always upload our content properlly. Do remedy this we had to constantly check to see if the content was there as well as backup our work.

Validation Problems

We were surprised to see that our website had many errors when validating. This was due to the usage of a pre-made template from our website host. We fixed the problems to the best of our ability, while some were unfixable because we had no access to the CSS template file or source files.
