Where to start?
Computer gaming seems to be a popular choice for the older audience, and it’s not surprise due to its flexibility and variety. Computers are by far the best gaming system out there. Depending on the type of computer, you will be rewarded with amazing graphics and frame rates that will make your console buddies jealous.
Building your own Computer
The first thing that comes to mind is, what computer are you going to use? If you are serious about the quality of gaming, and computer, you’re going to be more satisfied if you build your own computer. The options are endless there, and building one yourself with higher-end products will be cheaper than buying a premade gaming computer. There are many sites and shops that will inform you on what items would be best, and some even build it for you (for a fee of course!). Purchasing a premade Computer
If you don’t want the hassle of building your own computer, there are many on the market that is exceptional. The few that we recommend are: Alienware, MSI or RazerBlade. we go into more detail about these items HERE (insert link to separate page). Think about what games you ideally want to be running, and the quality at which you prefer them to be run at. After you settle that, you can look for computers to purchase. Keep in mind that even the cheaper ones on the market can be ideal for gaming.
Benefits?
Computer gaming is on par, in fact, better than gaming on consoles. They offer a better quality of graphics and flexibility. You can run a variety of games that would normally require you to purchase multiple consoles. For example, you can download a 3DS emulator, Gameboy emulator to play old school games. Many of the games that come out for console also come out on the PC, and there are many alternatives that make gaming on your computer much cheaper.
Mac or PC?
We come back to the age old question, Mac or PC? PC still wins by the fact that it can be easily customizable, is cheaper and plays more games than Macs. However, this is slowly changing as Mac becomes a more acceptable platform. Developers are beginning to make games for that system. If you have a Mac, that’s not a problem as there are many games that are crossplatform.
